Essence Me & My Ice Cream Collection

Essence sent me a preview of their new Me and My Ice Cream Collection! Pastels are HUGE now that it's hot warm weather here in Oz. And the 'beads' nail trend seem to be everywhere you look in the cosmetic aisles.

I got the Ice cream nail topping stickers, which look like sprinkles.

From left to right: Ice, Ice Baby which is a pale Lilac, Icylicious is a Peach and Ben & Cherries is a barely there pale Pink.

Each color needed 4 coats to become opaque. But that nail sticker was NOT going anywhere anytime soon. After 3 days I had to really scrape that sucker off.

I then stamped with Konad white decorations of donuts, candy and cupcakes. Unfortunately I didn't have an ice-cream stamp. Finished with a few rhinestones.

This photo shows the nail topping sticker after 24 hours, The tip has worn away a little, which was due to the sprinkles being on the very tip. And a few of the sprinkle beads had flown off. I am looking forward to trying more Essence nail stickers, if released, as the wear on them was extremely impressive.

The Me and My Ice-Cream collection is out on Counter October/November, and exclusive to Priceline.

So, I Changed My Hair....

.....to a color I swore I would never go.....Cherry Red. But, it was bleached and bright Copper so I thought What the Hell? Altho people have commented that this color suits me a lot better than the Copper...I miss the Copper. This 'faux red' is really NOT me and it's going quite soon.

On another subject, aren't my 50's sunnies FABULOUS??

Orly's Star of Bombay on all fingers bar the ring which is 3 coats of Pretty Serious BSOD. The middle finger is layered with Crows Toes Absolom- Your Potions Master.
And yes, more rhinestones.

A Full Day of Antiquing

For the first time since the kids have been born, we spent an absolute FULL day doing all the antique stores in Geelong. The Sexy Man and I loved it but the kids got a little sick of it, altho they were such troopers.

We promised them the whole next day at the beach and the following helped immensely:

Giving Miss 5 her own camera to photograph all her favourite things. This kept her quiet for hours! I wished we had thought of it 10 years ago.....

And letting Miss 12 take her book along and dumping her in a chair in the shop somewhere.

My dream table! It had been fully restored too....but also had a fully restored price tag.

A 50's caravan, still all original.

Clothes stacked to the ceiling. None of this was out for sale...it was all very frustrating.

Advertising tins. I have almost all of these in my collection!

Um, yes.

And lastly, we zipped into a modern homewares and reproductions store and a good bulk of their furniture was 60's inspired. I loved the Ivory and Blue setting, but they were all horrendously expensive.
