Crows Toes Gomez

I am loving Crows Toes. I'm super glad Llarowe picked her up so us International girls could have the pleasure of owning some of them. Every color I have got as been gorgeous.

This was a coat of Gomez over China Glaze Splish Splash from the new Neon collection. One coat of any Crow Toes is all you need, the bottles are jam packed full of glitter. Two coats of Seche QD to finish it off.    I did use the PVA basecoat on this to make removal super easy.

And Splish Spash on it's own.

I'm On The Mexican Radio

My skirt is my most exciting piece of vintage I have purchased for awhile. Sometimes you open a package and gasp at the splendiferous-ness of it all and this skirt was one of them.

One of the nicest 1950's handpainted and sequin embellished skirts I have come across....in my opinion. I love how it's not the traditional black based color. This one POPS!

It's still a little chilly and I had to wear a cardi. Unfortunately the color I picked was a little too loud, but I didn't know that until afterwards when I looked at these photos.

New Blog Feature...Shoes Day!

Drop dead gorgeous Kaz told me I have to do a weekly shoe post. And she's right, I really do.

I get so many emails from you lovely girls asking to see my shoe wardrobe and it would be impossible to show them all at once. So if I show one pair a week....then a year should get thru them all.       I know, I KNOW, I am such a shoe HO'.

So, without further ado I present to you my first Shoes Day post!

These Miss L Fire shoes and called Dollie and came in black and red. Yes, I bought both. They were CHEAP!! I purchased the red off eBay and immediately went back and got the black pair when I realised how insanely comfortable they are.

Notice the 50's inspired boomerang heel? Love.

The flowers are removeable so I swapped them for cherry shoe clips this day to match my Bernie Dexter dress.

Thanks Kaz for kicking my butt into gear.....more shoes next week!

Vintage Doll Kit From The Eco Experience

Today I have something completely different but super cute for you all!

The Eco Experience contacted me and asked if I would like to review one of their vintage doll kits, and seeing as they were made from Vintage fabrics and patterns....of course, I said yes.

The Eco Experience believes that intelligent design equals ethical design.
They seek children's products that have:

Natural Fibres Woods from sustainable sources.
Recycled or upcycled components
Vegetable based dyes
All of their products are rigorously researched. They know where they came from and how they were made.
All their printed products, including wrapping, are all environmentally sound.

The team at Eco sent me their Jane Foster Doll Kit, but the problem is......I don't sew. I REFUSE.
So there.

So my very clever bestie, Fiona-Brooke from It's A Beautiful Life (and who makes my children the bestest hair bows ever) offered to make it for me on the condition that she gets to keep it!

And here she is!  Apparently it took FB about half an hour to whip up, the most time consuming part was the cut out.

The Eco Experience ship for FREE Australia Wide and will also gift wrap for free if you need your toys as a gift.   You can contact Jade or Daniel from the website or email them on:

Lush Lacquer Sugar Daddy

This one is so much fun! Miss 4 has a Princess Party soon as this may be a contender.

I did 3 coats, just cause I wanted as much glitter on there as possible. The glitter does need to be coazed out of this one. One coat of Seche QD to finish it off.

A Sash

The Vintage Studio recently had a 20% off sale so I grabbed this dress that had been on my watch list for awhile.  I had a small concern that it was a little "grannyish", but I don't think it is now that it is on.  The crimped hair, fishnet stockings and mile high wedges help a little....

I love how the sash is purple and mustard....and the dress has no mustard or purple in it whatsoever!

Triple Black Diamond

I decided to layer Crows Toes Triple Black Diamond over something other than a black.  I chose Zoya's Skylar and it was a mistake.  It looked kinda like I just had black dirt all over my nails!

And 2 coats of Skylar on it's own.
