OPI Stay The Night

So, OPI sent me this bottle of their new textured polish Stay The Night.  I admit, I have no freaking idea how this craze became so popular...it's gritty peoples!!  It feels like there is crap all over your fingers...ALL the time!  Needless to say, it's not really for me but I did add topcoat and I loved this color much much more that way.  (Photos coming soon).

This was 3 coats.  Removal was also a lot easier than glitter too which was an unexpected bonus.

Stay The Night is available now . For your nearest OPI stockists contact 1800 358 999 or visit www.opi.net.au.  It is also available in all David Jones stores Australia wide.

Jessica Banana Peel

As you can see, I have nubbins.  All I'm going to say is....
DO NOT PEEL OFF YOUR GEL POLISH!
Ugh...I'm done with gel polish for a *little* while.

This is Jessica Banana Peel, 2 coats.  I have been wanting this shade for a long time and finally grabbed it off Ninja Polish.  Now that it's here, I'm not sure if it 100% suits my skin tone.  I have Illamasqua Load arriving soon, hopefully, so it will be interesting to compare.

I did a quick Kissy stamp on each ring finger with Konad Dark Red and finished with Seche QD.

1940's Dress Set, Crimped Hair, Lucite Sunnies

It's pretty apparent I have a definite soft spot for dress and bolero sets. Even more so if they have a novelty pattern! I do have quite a few, and a "dress bolero" search is typed in regularly into my ebay and Etsy.
This little number came from an Australian shop, Kitty's Vintage, and it is rather rare for me to find something this cute and novelty-ish in this Country! The pattern on this set are Victorian styled ladies with parasols. Kitty's Vintage update their Facebook page and blog recently with new finds, so check them out and score before it all goes into her brick and mortar store.

Looking on these photos, the dress is a little long for me.  Think I'll have it taken up a few inches.

I crimped my hair which makes super big rolls!

Gelish Sunrise In The City

Still on my gel playing phase, this time with Gelish Sunrise In The City.  I really like this one with it's duochrome flash, which I couldn't really capture on film, Murphy's Law.  It got a lot of comments which is also always nice.

I started with Gelish base coat, cured with a UV lamp for a minute, 3 coats of Sunshine In The City, each coat cured for 1.5 minutes and finished with Gelish top coat, cured for 2 minutes.

And here it is 10 days later.  Still perfect except for my little finger which lifted at the edge.  I could have peeled it off and redone it, but I was ready for a change.

Femme Fatale CRIMSON ACOLYTE

Isn't this yummo?  One coat of Crimson Acolyte over Gelish Bella's Vampire.  Femme Fatale is making some awesome glitters, and they are wonderfully packed with glitter which means only ONE COAT of glitter!  Yay!

Sophie from Femme Fatale has also started stocking International Indie brands for us Aussies.  This means good news for us as the polishes are the same price and we don't have to pay the alarmingly high postal rates that USPS are now charging.
